In Memory Of

To my adopted brother and family who I lived with for two years while we played in a band named Road's End
(1969-1971). Just found out surfing on the web about your passing. Always wanted to look you and your family up and now sorry I did not. We had the best of times and I have always had fond memories on all of the gigs we played at. I will forever remember you in my heart.

Sammy, you were the first bass player that I ever took a lesson from...and the last! I can remember asking you to play Roundabout by Yes for me and being blown away by the clarity of your playing. I will never forget it!

I wanted so bad to look you up after all these years and talk about all the crazy times we had. You were awesome at everything you did and such an amazing listener. I think you had the biggest groupies of all at the 4400 club when you were with The Nerve. You will be so missed Sammy!

I REMEBER HIM FROM JAMAKIN JOHNIES HE ALLWAYS PUT ON A GREAT SHOW I LOVED THAT SONG ABOUT THE CAT I READ IN THE PAPER ABOUT A BENCH WITH HIS NAME ON IT 23RD OR 24TH STREET HE IS MISSED ALOT BY ME AND MY FRIENDS RIP BROTHER

You were by far the best person I could have ever asked for as a dad. No one will miss you as much as I do everyday. Its hard to believe you are no longer here but you are in a better place and I hope you are looking down on us. You left behind your greatest memories. Here I am looking up an old friend in hopes that I would see him again. So sad. Sammy had so much to give and was an awesome father. I'm sure he is missed by many people.

Sammy, You were one of the craziest, coolest, grossest, yet a music machine. You had to leave us before your work was done. What was it, man? What made you so sick?
